Bellum
In Bellum I address the themes of war and violence by revisiting ancient myths from world culture and placing at the center the figure of the woman, who is an allegory of all humanity.
I chose a Latin title, Bellum, which means war, so as not to characterize the content by giving it a particular geopolitical placement and vision, and for this reason I also chose to portray a naked woman: without any uniform.
BELLUM refers to all past wars and also to current ones, and at the same time in the works one can also find that violence, anger, and oppression that is daily expressed in our society and in family relationships.
The harshness of some images of women found in this work, expressed in the form of artistic nude photography, ultimately gives way to the hope expressed in the myths of Mnemosyne and Ahoeitu. And in the woman is seen the element capable of generating this revolution and positive energy.
