Detail of the polyptych Threads of Silk. After collecting the cocoons, the end of the silk thread inside the cocoon is sought in order to gently pull it and unwind the entire thread. The thread is then wound into skeins. Then, through specific processes in several stages, the raw silk yarn in skeins is treated so that it can be used in the subsequent processing stages such as weaving, knitting, dyeing...
