“Femmes” (Women) is dedicated to the women of the Paris Commune of 1871 and their commitment to the struggle for rights and dignity. This is a work signed LPA because it was created four-handedly by my wife Lia and me. Reproductions of period photographs were used, depicting from left to right All sentenced to long prison terms for their participation in the Commune de Paris. Mixed media: cardboard, photographs, bandages, and beeswax on wooden board. The dimensions are 51 x 41 x 4.5 centimeters. The technique used is photographic encaustic.
