La Commune de Paris. Tuesday, March 28, 1871. The Central Committee today ceded power to the elected officials, provided for in the number of ninety-two. Each arrondissement (district) is represented by one inhabitant for every 20,000 inhabitants and fraction of more than 10,000. There were three currents that faced each other. The abstentionists who represent the governmental Parisians who are against the Commune, the conciliators who are the moderates represented by the outgoing mayors of the neighborhoods and the Commune party which includes the central committee of the National Guard, the central committee of the Republicans of the 20 neighborhoods and the internationalists.
